As one of Canada’s most successful distribution companies since their inception, Gentec has enjoyed a position of market leadership for over 25 years. But, with the development of new technologies, a declining retail industry and a greater push towards e-commerce, Gentec needed to rethink how they presented themselves in the marketplace, and undergo a full rewrite, redesign and rebuild of their website.
Outskirts provided strategy, writing and design direction, beginning with a deep dive into not just Gentec’s history, but the past, present and future states of the manufacturing, logistics and distribution industries. Working off Gentec’s ethos of ‘Together, we achieve the extraordinary’, we focused our strategy on developing an aspirational tone that leveraged Gentec’s knowledge, experience, service and success of over 25 years as platforms to help them stand out from the competition. The fresh website has seen a significant rise in time on site, page views, and most importantly, further entrenched their position as Canada’s foremost authority on consumer accessories.
